Your Portal Feeder Questions Answered
After posting that Portal Feeder is open, I received a lot of email! People had read the sales letter but still had some questions. I’m going to answer these questions for everybody to read here.
1. If I build sites with the PortalFeeder software, can I take them with me if I leave?
Yes! Portal Feeder is not one of those systems that trick you into a locked-in membership by keeping a hold on your sites. The sites you build will be on your hosting. You own the domain. You keep all the content. All that you cannot do after you leave, is that you would not be able to keep on using the services such as promotion tools, backlinks or drip feeding more content from the database. But the sites that you have already built are 100% yours.
2. I am completely new to internet marketing, will this work for me?
Whether Portal Feeder works for you or not depends on your commitment, focus and aptitude. It doesn’t depend on experience. If you have not set up a website before, don’t know what SEO means, and have never written any promotional material, it will probably take you longer to get into profit than somebody who has done these things before.
If you are completely new, be prepared to write off the first couple of months’ fees as training costs. Your sites or blogs are likely to take a while to start making significant money. But you are still likely to spend less with Portal Feeder than if you run from one idea to another buying each new hyped-up ebook as it is released.
How long it will take depends on you, how much time you have each week and how well you use it. The training is all there for a complete newbie. You just have to follow the steps.
At the same time, experienced internet marketers are likely to learn a lot that they didn’t already know, even from the boot camp. And after that there is a lot more deep training on specific areas from Web 2.0 promotion to PPC.
3. I have a day job. How much time will I need for building an online business with Portal Feeder?
My recommendation would be around 2 hours per day at least, or 14 hours per week. If you can give it more you will get on faster. Anyone who cannot give it that minimum of time most weeks will have slow progress and is likely to become discouraged and quit, and that would be a waste.
The exception would be if you are already making money online, say a couple of thousand a month or more, and you just wanted to apply the promotion tools to your existing sites or business. Then you might find you could easily profit from Portal Feeder membership without needing to spend so much time because the foundation of your business is already built.
4. Do I need a list?
No. You can use PortalFeeder software to set up sites that will build you a list if you want one, but you don’t need to have one already.
5. Why is this a monthly membership, not a download?
I think that Portal Feeder is really a service, not a product. While you can download the main site building software PortalFeeder 2.0, there are a lot of promotional tools that you could not download because they require access to other people’s sites. Even for PortalFeeder 2.0 there is a huge database of content that is stored on the central server. You can download from this to your sites, but you cannot download the whole database.
Then there is the training. You can download the training PDFs that are available at the time you join, but they are constantly being updated and there are more being added all the time. Plus there is the mentor/moderator system that works through the members-only forum which in my opinion is the most valuable training of all.
To keep all of these services operating, there has to be a monthly fee. You will understand when you get inside and see how much is there!
6. Why isn’t Portal Feeder open all the time?
Because some of the forms of training, including the contests, are ongoing over 1-2 months and it wouldn’t work to have people joining in the middle. It’s much better for everybody - new members and old - to have an influx of a group of new members every few months.
You don’t have to follow this type of training if you don’t want to, of course. You can just get on with using the tools to build your business in your own way. But it is a great motivator, especially if you are having trouble knowing where to start.
7. How much time do we have to think about this?
I don’t know. They always close the doors again fairly fast. People have been signing up quickly and there’s a cap on membership, so it looks like it will close again sometime this weekend.
If it seems like there is still time when you’re reading this, I recommend you read the Portal Feeder sales page thoroughly and talk about it with anyone who is important to you or your business. Then read it again … and join.
If you are tempted but cannot go for it right now, or it’s already closed again when you are reading this, you can sign up to the notification list here. Jason Potash will keep you updated for next time around. Don’t worry, he doesn’t send emails every day … you will get a few now until the doors close, then you may not hear from him for months.
If you can make the commitment, then just join. Portal Feeder offers a money-back guarantee for the first 30 days, so in that situation you might as well jump right in.
