At least once when you were browsing through the World Wide Web, I m sure you took one look at it and said I don t like the design . Although many of us have not really thought about it, each web site has a unique appearance. Web designing is a master skill for no two websites are barely the same.
Web page design requires the person to have a thorough knowledge about web languages such as Hypertext Markup Protocol (HTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML) etc. in order to create the visual effect of what we see on the user interface. This type of web page design allows for text and images to be published on web sites. Additional components used in websites such as games and videos are usually programmed in Java – a popular computer language. Other types of software that are need when designing a web page are plug-ins. Adobe flash and Microsoft Silver are the forerunners of the browser plug ins that give us the opportunity to see the visuals on the web.
Web page design also involves designing appropriate interfaces for each site. Interfaces have to be user friendly, so that non-technical viewer will not have problems when visiting the web site. The web design of course will depend on the type of service it offers. In cases like email accounts and personal accounts which require the personal information of users; measures have to be taken to protect the data. In addition to passwords and other security features, the data has to be secures with encryption to prevent the data being access by unauthorized persons.
Special websites such as blogs and forums come in a uniform layouts. In each case, the site has to accommodate the uploading of content from users. The content; usually comments or replies, consist mainly of text. In social networking web sites however, the web page design has to accommodate the uploading of images and videos in addition to text. It is important that the web page designs is ideal for users to easily upload content. Usability is important for any webdesign and layout for matters with too much complexity will rupture the user experience. Consequently, it is up to the web design and its effectiveness to choose how popular and easy to use the site will become.
