CPC – Cost Per Click. The amount of money paid for every click on your advertisement.
ROI – Return on Investment. The amount made minus the money spent on advertising. This is used to determine how effective your techniques actually are. If you invest $50 and make $200, your ROI is $150.
PPC- Price per Click. A very common and powerful marketing tool which utilizes advertisements on Search engines and their affiliate websites. Your advertisement is displayed whenever someone on that search engine searches for keywords that you chose. When your ad is clicked, you will pay the PPC price.
Impressions – The number of times your ad is presented, but not clicked on.
CTR – Click through Rate. The number of times your ad is clicked based on the impressions it has received. This is used to determine how effective your ads really are.
Keywords – The words that you determine represent your website. These words will be used in combination with PPC advertising to determine when your ad will be displayed. The more targeted your keywords, the more successful you will be.
Google Adwords – Google’s own PPC program. This is most well known and used Paid Per Click program.
Google Adsense – The other half of Google’s PPC program. This is a tool that allows you to place Google Adword advertisements on your website. Every time a visitor clicks on these ads, you will make money, (usually from $.05 to $.75).
Affiliate Programs – Programs offered by companies or individuals that allow you to make a percentage of every sale you bring them. For example, you can use
www.amazon.com products on your website, and sell them as if your own. When you sell them, it will bring the customer to the order page on Amazon’s website, and you will earn a percentage of the sale. This is your commission. This is also explained in greater detail later.
How I got started in Internet Marketing
You might be asking yourself, how did I get into internet marketing anyway? Well, when I was younger, my parents divorced, leaving me in quite a financial struggle. I was a smart high school student who scored very high on every test needed to get into a good school, but I had no money to get there! So here I was, stuck in a catch 22 system. I can’t make money to get to school because I have no degree, but I can’t go to school because I have no money!
To me, it seemed like an unfair struggle, like my undiscovered talent was going to waste! Well, obviously, I couldn’t have that. So I turned to the internet, where I had heard of people hitting it big overnight, and decided if that person can do it, why can’t I? Well, after a few long hard months of lost money and broken promises, I ended up with less money than when I started. Talk about depressing!
Then one day, I wised up. I started thinking, why am I trying to re invent the wheel? Instead, I could take things one step at a time, and simply do what’s working for other people. I started pushing affiliate programs, started building lists of customers, made JV deals, and I created products from scratch. I sold things on eBay; I used Adwords and Adsense to create hundreds of dollars a day overnight! I still can’t forget the expression on my mother’s face when I called her, and told her I had made more than a months worth of pay in less than 24 hours!
Like I said earlier, I like to keep things short, simple, and effective. Remember to use the K.I.S.S strategy. KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID!

My goal for you is to take my time proven techniques and apply them to your own website or product. We are going to utilize a system of finding strong affiliates (or making your own product!) and optimizing websites to sell those products. This probably sounds pretty familiar and basic; after all, it is the bread and butter of the internet income world. Find a product, and sell it!
The hardest part, however, has always been selling it. Luckily, you have this site! With my tools, you will learn how to create a website quickly (you may not even need your own website), using various methods of driving cheap, targeted traffic, and finally, collecting your money.
What I want you to do now is shut the door, close the blinds, turn off your cell phone, turn off your instant messengers, and completely free yourself from distractions. Take a minute to calm yourself. Read slowly, and try to completely understand something before moving on. You DON’T want to get overwhelmed, and it can happen easily.
From, here on out, I’m going to tell you what you need to know, and how to implement it. There will be many different examples, and some of them may use abbreviations. The site isn’t necessarily in an exact order of how to do things, as I mention several different ways of bringing in a profit. However, most of the following web pages are methods of driving traffic and increasing sales. Please remember to take the knowledge as a whole and apply it wherever you can, not just in the order you see it.
