Strategies to Market Your MLM Business
Building an effective MLM business takes a great deal of work. Do not believe all the hype when an up-line tells you all you need to do is sign up with them and a team will be built for you. That is absolutely not true. The catch in a claim like that is that yes, in most MLM businesses some parts of a team may be built for you but this is via “spillover.” When others join your team that is not in your immeidate line of sponsorhip you are receiving “spillover”. Technically, this builds your team without direct effort from you, but not to the point that you will receive the large paychecks promised to you when you were first recruited to the MLM business.
Instead, in order to win in MLM you need to learn how to effectively market and sell your MLM business. Your friends and family is who your MLM company will teach you to share your opportunity with. In order to achieve maximum success you will need to learn other marketing strategies besides speaking with your warm market. Your business will never grow without other marketing strategies because your warm list will sooner or later be exhausted. Your MLM company will likely encourage you to start prospecting in your community – at the mall, in coffee shops, local stores, etc. They’ll tell you to start talking to people wherever you go, in the hope that they will have an interest in what you have to offer. This can be effective, but you’ll also face a lot of rejection because of this approach – you sought them out, they did not seek you and have no desire to be part of an MLM business.
Some of the best people to talk to about MLM are other network marketers. They already understand the business and are open to it since they are already involved in a network marketing company. The problem, however, is just that – they could already involved in another company and are busy working to build it just as you are your company. A way around this pitfall is to share with them valuable information that they can use in order to grow their MLM business. By being a mentor and a resource to them, they will come to respect and value you, perhaps even to the point where they join your MLM business.
But I do not know any other network marketers besides those in my company. Look no further you’re already halfway there – the internet. Network marketing people are all over the internet and it’s never been easier to reach out to them. Just like you, they are out there looking for answers and solutions to their problems. They want to build their businesses, but everything they’re currently being taught is not working. These people are looking for you to provide them with a solution so that they can become sucessful.
Connecting with network marketers is very simple and effective. One of the best is pay-per click advertising on Google where you can advertise, but are only charged when someone clicks on your ad. Or, if you’re budget is still tight, there are some free methods including article marketing and blogging. Web 2.0 sites are also a great place to connect with other network marketers. These sites are absolutely free and have proven to be successful in the building of one’s network marketing business.
