It appears like many people are making mistakes regarding the businesses they are getting involved with and what it takes to successfully market them.
There are lots of business opportunities out there and people are pouring into them like fanatics. Some of these opportunities are with companies that have been around for quite a while and are solid, proven winners. If you are one of those people that picked a respectable business opportunity I am pleased for you.
But to my sadness, there are many companies out there that are pretty unstable deals. They assure you instant treasures – all you have to do is sign up for them, pay your monthly fees, and then you can relax and rake in the bread. Incorrect, this is not how it works.
The fact is, there is a massive failure rate among people trying to start a winning home based internet or network marketing business. Close to 95% of the persons that join these online business, whether they are time-honored companies or one of the unreliable instant get rich schemes, will fail at making enough money to stay in business.
Assuming you picked a sound business opportunity there is one vital fact to consider if you want to be among the successful.
You have to understand the marketing it takes to make your business successful. If you don’t know how to market you will most likely fail.
And, you need to understand the most critical piece about marketing and that is the making of leads.
You must have leads so that you can transform those leads into sales and/or enlist them into your business. The distressing part is that most network and Internet marketers fail in the most important part of their marketing – lead generation. And the plain reason is usually because they do not know how to market appropriately. But you can certainly change that and get the expertise you require.
To help you obtain a better understanding of the many pieces involved in lead marketing, I am going to lay everything out for you in a relationship drawing or marketing map. The most critical piece of the map is at the core – the lead capture page. The lead capture page is central to your marketing and once you understand how to do all the numerous types of marketing they all point back to one point – and that is your lead capture page.
No matter what kind of marketing you are doing, whether it’s SEO, MySpace, Digg, Blogs, etc., all of that traffic needs to be targeted to move to your lead capture pages.
To reiterate, all of your marketing needs to convey all of your traffic to your lead capture page.
Fundamentally, the plan is for you to get going marketing using any or a mixture of traffic generation – lead generation techniques. Then your marketing hard work will direct people to your lead capture page and then you can convert that lead into a buying customer and/or a prospect to join your business.
If all you’re doing is pushing your business, and not capturing leads, you are doing your self a wrong. You must gain the leads and build relationships with the people whose names you collect.
Now when you learn how to market appropriately, you will gain knowledge of how to master these discrete marketing strategies. You do NOT need to master them all so don’t get anxious by how many types of traffic marketing there are. Some very successful network marketers only use 1 or 2 of these tactics, but they concentrate on them, get competent at them, and they take action with them.
You can make use of things like FaceBook or MySpace to pull traffic to your lead capture page. You can employ blogging or article writing to establish yourself as an authority and get traffic to your lead capture page that way. You can also run advertisements on other people’s blogs or use Yahoo, MSN or Google Adwords to get traffic to your leads capture page. Pick one to start.
Your lead capture page becomes the opening point into your marketing retention and follow up approach, because the traffic that you capture there goes into your Autoresponder.
All the names go into YOUR autoresponder. This is because you need to build a list of your own clients and prospects. This is a important point, because in the preponderance of internet business out there, all of your hard work go to building a customer list for the company, NOT you!
You need to be doing this no matter what business you are in, whether it’s Acai Berry, Empowerism, Rags2Riches, etc. You need to get the traffic to your squeeze so that you can collect the lead.
The autoresponder becomes your email administrator, your marketing follow-up system and your customer retention system.
By running an autoresponder you can stay in touch with your potential recruits and over time they will be positive to either buy products from you, join your business (if you are network marketing) or be converted into resellers (if you are in affiliate marketing).
Use the email messages you send off via your autoresponder list to benefit your contacts. After all, they wouldn’t have registered for your list if they didn’t think you had something to offer them. So don’t disillusion them. Give them complimentary things, give them instruction, coach them, and ultimately sell them on your business or products. Give away them marketing training and show them how they can be flourishing with the goods you are selling or if they join your business. Under promise and Over deliver!
You can actually earn an income from this. We’ve set ourselves up with products and services so that we can make money even if people don’t join our business. This is because we have built a list of names that we are building relationships with.
So bear in mind, no traffic – no leads, and with no leads you can’t keep your business going.
If you are already running a business, you need to launch a training system so that you can put forward even more to your file of individuals. If you have yet to join a company you need to research a company that gives you with the right kind of marketing education. A superior training program should show people how to set up their squeeze pages and autoresponder and train them on which types of traffic marketing will work best for them.
Keep in mind, you don’t have to use every one of the numerous types of marketing to acquire traffic. You can use the various methods alone. The important thing is to use at least one of them, get capable at it and stick with it.
So don’t waste any more time. Start doing things the right way and get the marketing training you need.
